With 12 fights in 12 victories in professional MMA and increasingly successful career inside and outside the octagon, it seems that everything is in complete harmony in the life of Ronda Rousey. However, apparently things are not going so smoothly between two of the most important people in the champion's life: her mother and mentor Ann Maria De Mars and her coach Edmond Tarverdyan. In an interview, the blonde's mother spared no criticism of the coach, questioning his professional skills and classifying him as a bad person.

“I think Edmond is a terrible coach and I'm going to say this publicly: 'I think he's a terrible coach and I think he won the lottery when Ronda joined the academy'. She was winning before she found him. She probably won 99% of the judo matches she participated in. She won the judo world championship when she was 17 and an Olympic bronze medal later. She won silver at the World Judo Championships. She was one of the greatest athletes in the world when she joined Edmond's gym and he didn't give her a single day a month”, said De Mars, in an interview with the “LatiNation” channel.

But Ronda's mother didn't stop there and said that the champion just doesn't leave Glendale Fight Club out of convenience and superstition. “I think Ronda only stays there because, when someone has a perfect baseball game wearing red underwear, they start wearing those underwear every day. It's just a superstition and I would be careful stepping foot in this gym. I think it's bad to use it to attract people. And I already told Ronda: 'I'm not going to stay silent about this'. He's a bad person and people shouldn't go there. And if he wants to sue me, that's my honest opinion,” she concluded.

Amid the tense atmosphere between his mother and his main coach, Ronda Rousey returns to the Octagon on November 14th, in the main fight of UFC 193, an event that takes place in a football stadium with a capacity for more than 70 thousand fans in Melbourne, Australia. Ronda will put her belt on the line against the undefeated challenger Holly holm.
