Following that, Mequizael began to work his movement well, making good use of feints, until he repeated the same movement targeting his leg, this time aiming for his opponent's head. The blow landed cleanly and resulted in an immediate knockout.

With this result, Mequizael Costa reached 25 wins in MMA, eight by knockout and eight by submission. Morgan Charrière, his opponent, suffered his third defeat in the UFC.
