Kevin Vallejos simply knocked out Giga Chikadze . The Argentinian was resilient against Chikadze's dangerous kicks during the early stages of the fight. In the second round, Vallejos delivered a terrifying knockout at 1:29 of the round at UFC Vegas 112.
The featherweight (up to 65,7 kg) fight was the second most important fight of the night at UFC Vegas 112. Before the fight, Giga Chikadze had a record of 15 wins and five losses in professional MMA. On the other side, Kevin Vallejos had accumulated 16 wins and only one loss in his career. The confrontation between Giga Chikadze and Kevin Vallejos at the UFC Apex was full of intensity, living up to its position on the main card.
Vallejos started the fight more aggressively, connecting with punches and kicks, but maintaining a certain distance. Chikadze sought to control the distance and invested in kicks. When threatened with kicks, Vallejos cornered Chikadze against the cage.
At the start of the second round, Chikadze didn't want much grappling, trying to escape Vallejos' grasp. Returning to the center of the octagon, the Argentinian had to defend himself against Chikadze's powerful kicks.
In an attempt to land some punches, Kevin Vallejos managed to land a spinning backfist, securing a technical knockout against Giga Chikadze after a series of blows to his opponent's head at 1 minute and 29 seconds of the second round.
