Renzo Gracie will make his Ultimate debut this Saturday against the former champion Matt Hughes. The duel will be in the welterweight division, but the Brazilian does not rule out the possibility of moving down to the lightweight division soon.
“I weigh 80 kilos and I have to eat a lot to avoid losing even more weight. I can walk around probably at 77, 78 kilos. So it's easy to hit 70 (at weigh-in). For sure, I can be the wild card and fight at heavyweight among the lightweights,” says Hughes in an interview with the American website MMA Weekly.
“The beauty of our sport is living one day at a time. Now, I have a huge task, which is to face Matt hugs. So I can't think about BJ or Sakuraba. I have an ugly face in my head and that is Hughes, no one else”, concludes the Brazilian black belt.
The duel between Renzo Gracie and Matt hugs takes place at UFC-112, an event that will be held this Saturday in the United Arab Emirates.
