Fares Ziam experienced a mix of emotions at UFC 323. At the event held last Saturday (6), in Las Vegas (USA), the Frenchman put on a show in the fight against Nazim Sadykhov , knocking him out brutally, thus securing his sixth consecutive victory. As could not be otherwise, 'Smile Killer', living his best moment in his career, could not contain his excitement, however, a short time later, the euphoria turned to sadness.
At the post-UFC 323 press conference, Ziam was very friendly, but one question caught him off guard. In September, the athlete was scheduled by the company to fight Kauê Fernandes , but he withdrew from the fight due to the death of his grandmother.

Impressed by his return, a journalist asked the Frenchman how special it was to have such a good performance after the traumatic loss and if such a triumph would make his grandmother proud. Immediately, Ziam took a deep breath and began to cry. Unable to speak, the athlete asked to end the interview, apologizing through gestures.
