the news that TJ Dillashaw, the current UFC bantamweight champion, is leaving Team Alpha Male to join the new MP Elevation took many by surprise. However, the American fighter himself justified his choice and stated that, in his new team, he will receive different treatment.

According to Dillashaw, his new team will provide him with a salary for training, unlike what normally happens in several MMA teams around the world. “They will pay me good money to train with them. They are offering me money to train instead of me paying them to train. This sport is growing a lot and that's how I think things should be. We are professional athletes”, he highlighted, in an interview with the radio program “Stud Radio”.

Dillashaw considers that MP Elevation's policy is the one that provides the best conditions for its future. “Anyone who was in the same situation as me would have done the same thing. This is a very short career and I need to do what is best for me. I won’t be able to fight forever, so I need to secure my future,” he added.

TJ Dillashaw returns to the octagon on January 17th, in Boston (USA) when he puts his title on the line against the former belt holder Dominick Cruz. The fight will be the main attraction of UFC Fight Night 81.
