Alex Poatan has a hunch about Vinicius 'Lokdog's' real motivations for criticizing him. Recently, the bantamweight (up to 61,2 kg) compared how fans react to the light heavyweight champion's (up to 93 kg) actions to his own. According to Poatan, this analysis is actually an attempt by his rival to shift responsibility and justify his own controversies.
In an interview with 'MMA Hoje', Poatan, who once confused the nickname 'Lokdog' with 'Snoop Dogg', countered the bantamweight's statements, affirming that, unlike the prospect, he is not seen as malicious by his training colleagues. The champion attributed the criticism Lokdog received to the fact that the fighter from Rio Grande do Sul tends to get involved in controversies.

“This guy, I think his nickname is Snoop Dogg. I didn't know, but people criticize him because in sparring he's always hurting guys. It seems like he always does that and people started criticizing him. Then he saw me knocking the guy out and said: 'When I do it, everyone talks a bunch of crap, then Alex does it and nobody says anything,' kind of trying to throw it at me… Hold on to the BO, man. If the guy is in the gym and everyone can see that he's mean, it's because he is. Ask anywhere if I'm mean… Why do they talk bad about the guy? Because the guy only talks shit, only talks nonsense,” said Alex Poatan.
Vinicius Lokdog compares himself to Alex Poatan and points out the inconsistency of the fans.
The disagreement between Alex Poatan and Vinicius Lokdog began when the bantamweight, in a post on X, reacted to criticism received on his videos and highlighted what he considers unequal treatment. According to him, while Poatan was applauded for knocking out training partners who barely reacted, he himself ended up becoming the target of attacks. The prospect even provoked by stating that he would accept a five-minute boxing match with the champion to see what the fans' reaction would be.
"You guys are idiots. Ale Poatan knocked out his training partners who didn't even throw a punch, and you applauded. Now I train with professional fighters, and you're talking nonsense. I'm going to do five minutes of boxing training with Alex Poatan , and then we'll see what you have to say," wrote Vinicius Lokdog.
A lot of ur idiots. @AlexPereiraUFC knocked out his training partners who never threw a punch, and u applauded him. Now I spar with professional fighters, and u talk trash. I'll do five minutes of boxing sparring with @AlexPereiraUFC , and we'll see what you have to say then.
