Since becoming involved in problems with the North American justice system, Jon Jones remained quiet on his social media profiles. However, the silence ended soon after the fight between Daniel Cormier e Alexander Gustafson, at UFC 192, which put the title that Jones held at stake.

During the fight, held on Saturday night (3), Cormier suffered from Gustafsson's movement and blows, but overcame the difficulties and prevailed in the judges' decision. It was the first title defense for DC, who won the belt in May.
Jones posted a restrained compliment to Cormier on his Instagram profile, with whom he maintained a fierce rivalry until their fight in January. “You showed a lot of heart there, DC,” he wrote, although he soon deleted it.
Afterwards, Jones posted a short video showing excitement about the fight. “I think I miss this! I don’t know, I don’t know,” he commented, visibly agitated.
In April, Jones was involved in an accident with two other cars and fled the scene on foot without providing assistance to one of the victims, a pregnant woman. As a result, the UFC suspended the athlete and stripped him of the light heavyweight belt.
Jones was recently placed on probation for 18 months and ordered to perform community service. UFC public relations director Dave Sholler confirmed that the fighter remains suspended, as the case is being evaluated by the law firm hired by the organization.
