Shinya Aoki
Japanese Shinya Aoki makes his Strikeforce debut on April 17th, against Gilbert Melendez, but the Japanese black belt already has another commitment scheduled. According to the American website MMA Junkie, the Dream lightweight champion will defend his belt against his compatriot Tatsuya Kawajiri, in the 16th edition of the event, scheduled to be held in July, with no date or location yet defined.
The duel between the Japanese was already expected by the Japanese public, considering that after Dream 11, where Aoki successfully defended his title against Norwegian Joachim Hansen, Kawajiri challenged the current champion and offered to be the next challenger. At the opportunity, Shinya mocked the attitude, but accepted the challenge.
