After four fights in the octagon, Kron Gracie 's UFC career came to an end. In December 2024, in Las Vegas (USA), the Brazilian faced Bryce Mitchell in what would be his last fight for the organization, and was brutally knocked out in the third round. Despite the tough outcome and the collection of defeats in the company, the jiu-jitsu specialist revealed he was surprised by his release.
In an interview with the website 'MMA Fighting', Kron candidly confided that he expected to receive another chance from the UFC to prove his worth and skills. With the organization, the Brazilian has only won one fight and lost the other three. In any case, despite the initial shock of being cut, the athlete made it clear that he has no feelings of resentment, distancing himself from the role of victim. On the contrary, the Gracie family member says he understands the company's decision, however unfavorable it may have been.

“At the time, I was fighting a top-15 opponent, and I was hoping to get another fight in the UFC. Generally, if you fight a top fighter, win or lose, you should be able to stay in the game. But I think the way I fought, how I pulled guard, and how everything unfolded disappointed a lot of fans and I lost a lot of prestige. The UFC is a business, so it makes sense that they think, ‘Well, you lost a lot of fans, so try to win them back. Get some wins and see what happens.’ But I understand. It’s a business,” said the veteran.
Kron's next step
After leaving the UFC, Kron Gracie took his time, but he will finally return to combat sports this season. The 37-year-old Brazilian will fight Tom Picciano for the 'Victory Fighting League' on December 12th in New York (USA). In his debut in his new home, the athlete will compete for the featherweight title (up to 65,8 kg).

After making his mark in Jiu-Jitsu, Kron Gracie transitioned to MMA in 2014. In the sport, the Brazilian fought eight times, winning five, all by submission, and losing three times ( Bryce Mitchell , Charles Jourdain , Cub Swanson ). His main victories were against Alex Caceres and Tatsuya Kawajiri.
