Greg hardy He went through a tremendous scare in his most recent adventure in combat sports. Last Friday (28), in Russia, the former UFC fighter and NFL player faced Evgeny Goncharov in boxing, in a duel with an exhibition character, but the outcome was anything but light. In the interval between the third and fourth round, the American felt unwell in the corner and thus abandoned the fight.

During the fight, Hardy tried to use his physical stature to his advantage, but despite his size, he struggled. Goncharov was not intimidated and landed the most significant blows of the fight, clearly being superior in the ring. At the end of the third round, the American walked strangely towards his corner.

Near his team, the athlete, suffering an asthma attack, collapsed, reported that he couldn't breathe and almost vomited. Hardy's desperation was so great that he begged for an inhaler. Unable to compete, the former UFC fighter gave up the fight. It's true that the fighter recovered afterward, but he ended up defeated.

Previous problem

This wasn't the first time Greg hardy He had difficulty breathing during the fight. In 2019, competing for the UFC, the athlete defeated Ben Sosoli by unanimous decision, but, as he used an inhaler between rounds, the victory was overturned by the Massachusetts State Athletic Commission, becoming a 'no contest' (fight without result).
