In a video posted to the Instagram stories of the Connect Cast profile, Carlos Prates revealed that his manager, Lucas Lutkus, heard rumors that Michael Morales is set to face Ian Garry in the UFC octagon.

"Morales is going to fight Ian Garry , according to what Lucas is hearing," said Carlos Prates.

Besides the South American duo, Ian Garry also entered the race by defeating Belal Muhammad at UFC Qatar. Veteran Kamaru Usman is an outsider and, despite coming off only one victory, still appears as Makhachev's favorite to receive the next title shot.
