Amanda Nunes' return to the UFC brought forward? Brazilian could be Dana White's trump card, says journalist.

It's no secret that the 2026 season should mark the return of Amanda nunes to the action. However, the Brazilian, who retired in 2023, may return to fight in the UFC much sooner than expected. At least that's what Ariel Helwani, one of the leading journalists specializing in MMA coverage, suggests.

Previously, speculation suggested that 'The Lioness', a member of the company's Hall of Fame, could perform the highly anticipated superfight against Kayla harrisonAmanda Nunes, the bantamweight champion (up to 61,2 kg), is scheduled to fight Amanda Nunes at UFC Casa Branca, a show expected to take place in June or July. However, according to Ariel, Amanda's return to the octagon against the American fighter should occur in January, more precisely on the 24th, in Las Vegas (USA), as the main event of the event. UFC 324, the organization's first event streamed on the 'Paramount+' service.

It's worth highlighting that, in August, Paramount closed a deal with the UFC worth US$7,7 billion (approximately R$42 billion at the current exchange rate) for exclusive broadcasting rights to its events. As UFC 324 will inaugurate the partnership between these major companies, it is expected to be memorable and feature eye-catching fights. Therefore, Amanda becomes an important asset for Dana White, since the clash between her and Kayla has always been anticipated.
