Alex Poatan is fully focused on facing Jon Jones in the UFC. After regaining the light heavyweight title (up to 93 kg), the Brazilian challenged the former champion to a heavyweight bout (up to 120,2 kg) at UFC Casa Branca and, even without confirmation of his presence on the special card, maintains hope of sharing the octagon with the man he considers the greatest of all time.
In an interview with 'TMZ Sports', Alex Poatan stated that he has already made his desire clear, as has Jon Jones , and that the realization of the superfight depends exclusively on the UFC.

“We made it clear what I want and what he ( Jon Jones ) wants. It depends on the organization…”, said Alex Poatan.
Poatan also confirmed that the event at the White House is on track, according to Dana White, but admitted that he still doesn't know if it will be part of the schedule, since he hasn't had a recent meeting with the UFC to define his next steps after defeating Magomed Ankalaev.
“( UFC Casa Branca ) is going to happen. Dana White said it’s going to happen, everything is being sorted out… I still don’t know (if I’ll be on the card). I haven’t sat down with them to talk about what comes next after my last fight, so there’s no way to know yet,” Poatan concluded.
