Ian Garry can be proud. At UFC Qatar, an event held this Saturday (22), the Irishman overcame Belal Muhammad , former welterweight champion (up to 77,1 kg), in the co-main event. And, to achieve the important victory, the athlete had to use all the knowledge and skills he has acquired over the years in the octagon.

By securing the most important victory of his career, Garry moved closer to the coveted title fight in the category, currently held by Islam Makhachev . This was the Irishman's second consecutive win, having previously defeated Carlos Prates.

The fight between Ian Garry and Belal Muhammad lasted three rounds, and in them, the former, despite being much younger, showed maturity in combat. Complete, faster, and more technical, the Irishman landed the best strikes, mainly kicks, and constantly landed punches on his opponent. He even made the veteran bleed.

Defensively, Garry managed to keep Belal away and, when Belal grabbed him, quickly escaped the position. Comfortable in wrestling, the Irishman impressed by showing a high level of takedown defense.
