The 17 months away from the octagon seem to have left Arman Tsarukyan on edge, to say the least. More than a year after beating Charles do Bronx at UFC 300 , the Armenian caught the attention of fans by headbutting Dan Hooker this Friday (21), during the face-off at the UFC Qatar ceremonial weigh-in. The two will face each other in the last fight of the event this Saturday (22), in a duel valid for the lightweight category (up to 70,3 kg).

After successfully making weight during the official weigh-in, the athletes had a few hours to recover from the intense dehydration process involved in weight cutting. During the traditional face-off, Tsarukyan wasted no time in headbutting the New Zealander. Despite the blow, Hooker reacted to the situation with smiles and laughter.

This is not the first time Tsarukyan has been involved in controversies due to his anger management issues. Last April, he assaulted a fan who bothered him while walking to the octagon to face Charles Oliveira at UFC 300. As a result, he was suspended for nine months by the Nevada Athletic Commission and fined R$135. Due to the location of this weekend's event, the athlete is not at risk of further punishment from local public authorities.
