A well-aimed round kick, followed by a knee strike and a few more punches to the ground and pound to finish the fight against Gegard Mousasi guaranteed more than just one of the most beautiful knockouts of the year Uriah Hall. With the triumph over the former Dream and Strikeforce champion, Hall debuted in the middleweight category ranking and was immediately among the top 10.

In the most recent update of the official list of Ultimate athletes, Hall appeared in 10th place among fighters under 84 kg. Without even being listed in the previous version of the ranking, the TUF 17 finalist left behind CB Dollaway, Dan Henderson, Derek Brunson, Robert whittaker and Roan Jucão to reach the “top 10”.

Other fighters didn't even need to enter the octagon last weekend. The main highlights were the strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk  and the welterweight champion Robbie Lawler, who gained one position each and rose, respectively, to 14th and 6th place in the weight-for-weight ranking. Furthermore, the Brazilian Thominhas Almeida also gained a position and surpassed his compatriot Johnny Eduardo, now occupying 9th place in the bantamweight division.
