An unusual situation could mark the preparations for Donald Cerrone for the UFC lightweight belt fight, in December, against the current champion, Rafael dos Anjos. The former category title holder Anthony Pettis offered help to the challenger in training to prepare for the fight.

Pettis was dethroned by Dos Anjos in March of this year, in the judges' decision. “Anthony came to me and said 'Caubói, if you need me, I can come over and help you with training for Dos Anjos. I hate that son of a bitch. I said 'Pettis, I might need you for this'”, said Cerrone, in an interview with the official UFC commentator Joe Rogan's podcast.

The curious thing is that Pettis and Cerrone have already faced each other in the octagon, with the former winning by technical knockout in 2013. The fight between Dos Anjos and “Caubói” will take place on December 19th, in Orlando, in the United States.
