In the video where Poatan challenged Chimaev to a grappling match at UFC BJJ, a grappling competition promoted by the company, Glover escalated the situation. Besides downplaying the Russian's importance to the company, the veteran vowed to "take his life away" if he messed with him.

It's worth noting that Chimaev recently and unexpectedly stated that he would beat Poatan and Glover together in a fight. Following the veteran's strong statement, the Russian provoked him.
