Recently, the representative of Fighting Nerds revealed that his next opponent could be the Brazilian, but the possibility seems distant at the moment, since Moicano has not yet received any official offer for the duel.

In a post on 'X', the Brazilian fighter responded to questions about the potential fight and stated that the UFC has not contacted him regarding the matchup. Moicano emphasized that, for now, he prefers to wait before making an official statement, but made it clear that he considers fighting in Australia unfeasible if he has to bear a significant loss in his purse.

Ruffy and Moicano are experiencing similar phases in their careers. After a dominant winning streak and a chance to fight for the UFC belt, Moicano was submitted by Islam Makhachev and then defeated by Beneil Dariush . Meanwhile, the Fighting Nerds representative had a meteoric rise in the UFC, with three convincing victories, but ended up being submitted by Benoit Saint-Denis in his last fight.
