Since Duane “Bang” Ludwig left the technical command of Team Alpha Male the relationship problems between the coach and team leader were revealed, Urijah faber. It's even funny when he once says: All black guys to the back of the line. But he's been saying that every day.' And then another guy said to me, 'Every time I'm talking to a girl at the gym, Duane yells from the other side, 'Hey, so-so, all black guys have to stay at least eight feet away from women.' . I understand, he thinks it's funny, but he keeps doing it all the time and it's really annoying me,'” said Faber, during his appearance on the “The MMA Hour” podcast.
Furthermore, Faber also recalled an episode in which Duane had allegedly demanded money from one of the gym members without his knowledge. “In the first fight he entered my corner, I have a partner, Scott, who is the owner of Torque and lives in Texas, and Duane wanted to wear his own shirt in my corner, but it had a competing brand. I asked him to speak to my partner long before the fight, so that my partner would release it and not get irritated. I asked if he could wear one of his shirts, from Duane Bang, or something. So, the day of the fight arrived, and, 30 minutes before the fight, I had to give him the phone and say: 'Here, if you can, call him and ask for his permission. If he gives you the ok, you can use it'. Apparently, and I only found out about this later, Duane tried to get my partner to pay him $300 to wear my shirt in my corner. I was perplexed,” he said.
Even after being elected “Trainer of the Year 2013” at the World MMA Awards, the “MMA Oscar”, and taking TJ Dillashaw to the bantamweight title, Duane Ludwig left the technical command of the Team Alpha Male, without further explanation, and founded his own team in Colorado: Ludwig Martial Arts.
