Leon Edwards is confident his comeback begins at UFC 322, scheduled for November 15th. The Briton, coming off two consecutive losses, faces Carlos Prates and believes a victory over the Brazilian could put him back on track for the title.
In a video posted by the 'UFC Europe' Instagram account, Leon Edwards revealed his plans for the near future in the octagon. The Briton expressed confidence that he will beat Carlos Prates and intends to face Ian Garry in early 2026 to finally earn another chance to fight for the belt.

“I’ve faced all the wrestlers in my division, and now it’s time to get my hands on a striker. After MSG, when I deliver the best performance of my life, I feel that will put me in the right position. I want another fight in early March or April, and then fight for the world title in the summer. I’d love to fight Ian Garry next, finish him off, and then come back to fight for the belt,” said Leon Edwards.

Leon has the chance to prove he still belongs at the top of the welterweight division (up to 77 kg) at UFC 322. The former champion defends his fourth-place ranking in the division and seeks to recover after dominant losses to Belal Muhammad and Sean Brady.
Carlos Prates , meanwhile, is ranked ninth and is coming off a brutal victory over Geoff Neal at UFC 319, after losing his undefeated record in the Ultimate Fighting Championship to Ian Garry.
