New McGregors? Chandler, Poirier, and UFC veterans team up in action movie; check it out.

Michael Chandler and Dustin Poirier are confirmed to return to action, but this time outside the octagon. The UFC veterans will be part of the cast of Road House 2, produced by Amazon MGM, after Conor McGregor starred in the original remake of the film.

According to information released by the Deadline website, the sequel will feature several prominent names from the world of fighting, in addition to the protagonist Jake Gyllenhaal.

In total, six professional fighters were confirmed: Michael Chandler , Dustin Poirier , Michael “Venom” Page, Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson, former UFC welterweight champion (up to 77 kg) Tyron Woodley , and GLORY kickboxing heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven.

UFC veteran Jay Hieron also returns for the sequel, after appearing in the original film as Jax Harris — a fighter who faces Gyllenhaal's character, Dalton, in flashback scenes. The cast also includes former WWE superstar Dave Bautista and actor Aldis Hodge.

Is Conor McGregor out?

In the original remake of Road House, released in 2024, Conor McGregor played Knox, one of the film's main villains. However, the Irishman is not expected to return for the sequel.

Currently, McGregor is focused on his preparation to return to the octagon at the UFC event "White House," scheduled for June 2026.
