With the victory, Esquiva Falcão reached 32 wins in his career. His rival, Binho de Jesus, at 41 years old, suffered his tenth defeat.
Esquiva Falcão dominates Binho de Jesus and wins the national boxing title.
Falcão began the fight in a measured way, adopting a strategic and calculated posture. The Olympic medalist chose to control the pace of the fight, touching his rival without exposing himself and avoiding any unnecessary risks, with quick jabs and movements that prevented Binho from finding spaces to counter-attack.
In the following rounds, the former world title challenger began to increase the intensity. With quick and precise combinations, Falcão began to pressure Binho against the ropes, exploiting every opening and limiting his opponent's ability to defend. Binho, in turn, had difficulty dodging or responding, being practically cornered for most of the time.
In the fifth round, Falcão maintained the frenetic pace. Binho showed clear signs of fatigue, with slower strikes and little energy to sustain the offensive. His strategy changed: he began to focus on protecting himself, minimizing risks and trying to survive his opponent's attacks.
In the final rounds, the situation remained the same: Binho practically didn't seek to attack, limited to defense and the hope of not being knocked out. Esquiva, on the other hand, increasingly increased the pressure. Between sequences of crosses, hooks, and uppercuts, the Olympic medalist complained about his rival who insisted on keeping his head down, without trying to react. The difference in rhythm and intensity was clear, consolidating Falcão as the winner.
