Jones puts vanity aside and asks for an opportunity to fight in the White House: 'please, Dana'

The former champion wants to compete in a unique event to test his skills against Alex Poatan in July 2026.

No longer the heavyweight champion (up to 120,2kg) after negotiation problems with Dana White and the UFC. Jon Jones He appears remorseful, but determined to fight at least one more time in the octagon. Aware that the UFC will hold an unprecedented event at the White House in July 2026, the fighter reiterated his desire to perform in front of his people.

Agreed verbally with Alex Poatán to face each other in the presidential garden, Jones seems not to have won Dana's trust so far. During the Dirty Boxing event, which took place this Thursday (30), the former champion did not hesitate to put his pride aside when sending a message to the Ultimate boss.

“Dana, please, man. I’m training, I feel great, I’m healthy. It would be a great honor to represent our country,” Jones declared in an interview with 'The Schmo'.

Since confirming that he could hold an event at the White House, Dana White has shown little enthusiasm for having his compatriot at the highly anticipated show. In the president's view, it's difficult to trust the presence of an athlete who has disappointed him professionally on several occasions. Despite this refusal, the president avoided making any firm decision regarding Jones's attendance.
