After many months of speculation, one of the biggest MMA soap operas today already has a date set for its first chapter: the month of November. This is because, it will be in the same month in which Ronda Rousey defends her belt for the seventh time in the octagon that the Brazilian Chris Cyborg will have her first fight at an intermediate weight in the featherweight and bantamweight categories, already aiming for a superfight with the UFC champion.

The announcement was made by Shannon Knapp, president of the Invicta FC event, in which Cyborg currently competes. “I'll tell you the following (about our November event): Lívia (Renata Souza, strawweight champion) and Alexa grasso will do the main fight and the Chris Cyborg will make his first weight cut to 140 pounds (63,5 kg). These are the plans for our next event”, said Knapp, during the Invicta FC 14 press conference last weekend, in Kansas City (USA).
Despite confirming that the event will be held in November, the director of the exclusively female organization did not confirm the precise date of the card, due to negotiation problems with the arena that will host the fight night. Furthermore, the name of Cyborg's possible opponent was also not mentioned.
At 30 years old, Cristiane Justine, or “Chris Cyborg”, as she is known, has a professional record of 14 wins, one loss and one unsuccessful fight. Invicta FC featherweight champion, Cyborg defended her belt for the last time in July this year and is now preparing for a sequence of weight cuts until she reaches the women's bantamweight category, the same as her great rival Ronda Rousey.
