The incident involving Tom aspinall e Cyryl Gane No. UFC 321The fight, which took place last Saturday (25), continues to generate repercussions among athletes. The main fight, valid for the linear heavyweight belt (up to 120,2kg), ended in 'no contest' after the Frenchman hit the current champion in the eye, who was unable to continue the fight after medical attention. The fight was interrupted in the first round, in Abu Dhabi (UAE).

After what happened, Jiri Prochazka used his social media to comment on the situation.

“I really don't know how much this weighed on the title fight last week, but for me it's essential to win,” said the 'Samurai' on his official Instagram account.

During the exchange of blows at the end of the first round, Cyryl Gane accidentally hit Aspinall in the eye. The British fighter was evaluated by the UFC medical team, and since he couldn't see, the fight was stopped, keeping Aspinall as the division champion.

He was taken to the hospital for further examination and required a bandage for the wound. The crowd in Abu Dhabi reacted with boos, frustrating Aspinall, who said he was disappointed with the reaction.
