With a lot of money from a large group of investors behind it and now under the leadership of Scott Coker, the manager who led Strikeforce to stardom, Bellator has been directly rivaling the UFC and has consolidated itself as the second largest MMA organization on the planet. But it's not just in the promotional aspect that the event competes against Ultimate. According to bantamweight champion Marcos “Loro” Galvão, the fact that he is at the top of the division in Bellator puts him among the best on the planet and would mean that he would fight on equal terms with the TJ Dillashaw, if he migrated to the Octagon.

“To be honest, I would fit in there facing the TJ Dillashaw. He is a champion and I am also a champion, in the second biggest event in the world. And Bellator isn't behind the UFC for anything. Bellator's bantamweight and featherweight divisions aren't behind the UFC's for anything. I can stand up to anyone in the UFC and would consider a fight with him straight away. TJ Dillashaw, since we are champions”, said Loro, in an interview with the website “Sexto Round”.

And the only thing that I really disagree with about MMA, looking at it from outside the UFC, is that if you look at the rankings, there's only one fighter, the Marlon moraes, from outside the UFC. And I'll be honest with you, I consider myself one of the top five. I'll give you an example, how can three champions, Marlon, Bibiano Fernandes and I, being outside?”, he asked.
