Alex Poatán has a new threat in the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg). Last Saturday (25), in Abu Dhabi (UAE), Azamat Murzakanov shone at UFC 321. In just one round, the Russian knocked out Aleksandar rakic, continuing his great career. As expected, the excited athlete projected his future within the organization and exuded confidence.

At the post-UFC 321 press conference, Murzakanov assured that he was ready to fight for the division's belt and promised to reach the top. It's worth noting that the Russian is undefeated in MMA, has six wins for the company, and is now ranked seventh in the division. Rising rapidly within the company, the athlete plans a fight against the champion, currently Poatan, in one round.

Different focus

Despite the rise of Azamat Murzakanov in the light heavyweight division, the champion Alex Poatán is focused on a different type of opponent. The Brazilian has already expressed his desire to move up to heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg), with his sights set on a superfight against the legendary Jon Jones, at the White House, in June.
