Jon Jones returned to the spotlight by provoking Tom aspinall on social media after the 'no contest' between English and Cyryl Gane, this Saturday (25), at UFC 321in Abu Dhabi. The former heavyweight champion (up to 120,2kg), who has been away from the sport since 2024, mocked his rival in a derisive tone.

Jones changed his profile picture on X (formerly Twitter) to an image of a duck wearing a belt and an eye patch, a direct allusion to the incident and previous provocations by the British man, who had used a toy duck to mock the American.

The fight between Aspinall and Gane ended in the first round, after the Frenchman accidentally hit the Englishman in the eye, who claimed he could not see and was unable to continue.

Not fighting since November 2024, when he defended the title against Stipe Miocic, Jones had announced his retirement, but the new episode indicates a possible turnaround.
