Much was expected from the main fight of UFC 321, but its ending was disappointing. This Saturday (25), in Abu Dhabi (UAE), Tom aspinall e Cyryl Gane faced each other, but the duel ended in a draw after the Frenchman unintentionally poked the Englishman in the eye at the end of the first round. After witnessing the incident, Dana White has already predicted that a reckoning between the athletes will happen next.

At the post-UFC 321The organization's president expressed support for scheduling an immediate rematch between Aspinall, the heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg), and Gane. However, Dana avoided stating definitively that this will be the organization's next step.

The duel was highly anticipated, as it was the Englishman's first after the end of the soap opera. Jon Jones and marked his first linear title defense. Regardless, despite the disappointing ending to the fight and criticism from some fans, the official believes a rematch is the right thing to do and that the new duel between the athletes has everything to generate positive buzz, largely due to Gane's attitude in action.

"I feel the same way everyone else does. Great performance, terrible finish. I think after the Jones fight, a lot of people wrote off Gane. He looked great tonight. It would be a great fight. What makes sense is a rematch. I'm not saying that's what will happen. Anything can happen. But honestly, what's the next fight? The rematch is what makes sense. A rematch is very interesting. As soon as possible," said Dana.
