Alex Poatán took advantage of the frustrating end of the duel between Tom aspinall e Cyryl Gane to send a message. In a video published on his YouTube channel, Alex Poatán reacted to the end of the fight and did not hide his dissatisfaction with the outcome. In the caption, the light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) reinforced his desire to move up a weight class and face Jon Jones in a fight that he said would make the heavyweight division “great again.”
“Let’s make the heavyweight division great again,” he wrote Alex Poatán with the 'stone face' emoji, which is frequently used to reference him, alongside a bones emoji, in reference to his nickname 'Bones'. This wasn't the first time Alex Poatán challenged Jon Jones. The Brazilian had already mentioned the former champion's name after his victory over Magomed Ankalayev No. UFC 320However, there was no response, as 'Bones' is going through a grieving process after the loss of his brother Arthur Jones, a former NFL player.
