Mackenzie dern made history in UFC 321. At the event held this Saturday (25), in Abu Dhabi (UAE), the Brazilian beat her compatriot Virna jandiroba by unanimous decision and became strawweight champion (up to 52,2 kg). As the athlete defeated the veteran in a true battle, there was no shortage of highlights.

Now, as the strawweight champion, Mackenzie became the fourth Brazilian woman to win the UFC title. She also became the first woman to win the ADCC jiu-jitsu and Ultimate World Championships. And she didn't stop there. With her victory in the event, Dern now has two victories over Virna.

The main fight of UFC 321 The fight pitted two jiu-jitsu specialists against each other. However, the fight developed more on the feet than on the ground. In the first round, Dern showed greater skill in striking and landed clean blows on her opponent. In turn, Virna also had her moments in the area and attempted occasional takedowns.
In the second round, Dern continued to be more aggressive in her striking. Even when she was taken down, she proved to be active on the bottom. In the third round, the duel between the Brazilians remained evenly matched and intense. The professionals successfully matched each other in their striking. In the grappling, Virna managed to take Dern down, but she wasn't as effective on top.
In the fourth round, the pace didn't slow down. Dern remained aggressive standing, in the clinch, and on the ground, from below. Experienced, Virna also proved competitive and landed solid strikes on her opponent. In the fifth and final round, the fighters, intent on the vacant belt, exchanged blows with all their might. The fight remained frenetic, with positions being lost. In the final stretch, Dern proved superior and impressed the judges.
