Azamat Murzakanov He showed that he deserves to be among the top names in the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg) in UFC 321At the event held this Saturday (25), in Abu Dhabi (UAE), the Russian was unaware of Aleksandar rakic and needed just one round to knock out the Austrian. Undefeated in MMA, the athlete extended his good run and established himself as a new threat to the reign of Alex Poatán.

With the result, the Russian reached his 15th career victory. In the UFC, the athlete remains undefeated and is on the verge of breaking into the division's top five. Rakic, on the other hand, suffered his fourth consecutive loss and is now at serious risk of being cut from the organization.
Murzakanov and his overwhelming power
In the duel, Rakic started the fight better, using feints, movements, and even takedown attempts to confuse Murzakanov. However, in the final stretch of the first round, the Russian showed he deserves respect: as his opponent advanced, he landed a strong jab that instantly knocked him out.
Azamat Murzakanov, now, ties with Alex Poatán e Carlos Ulberg with the most knockouts in the light heavyweight division since 2022, with five. The Russian also has the second-longest active winning streak in the UFC in the division, with six in total (Ulberg leads with nine).
