The night of UFC 191 will be remembered in John Lineker's memory. The Paraná native debuted in the bantamweight category with a beautiful victory over Francisco Rivera and, on top of that, he took an extra US$50 as a bonus for the “Fight of the Night” at the event, held in Las Vegas (USA).
Lineker and Rivera fought an intense battle, with a crazy exchange of blows and a submission from the Brazilian after just two minutes of activity. Even with the short duration of action, the fight was awarded by UFC management.
Two other fighters go home with an extra $50 in their pockets. Anthony Johnson, who knocked out Jimi Manuwa, and Rachel Pennington, which submitted the Brazilian Jéssica “Bate-Estaca” Andrade, were rewarded with the “Performance of the Night” award.
