Ciryl Gane has no doubt about what will happen at UFC 321. This Saturday (25), in Abu Dhabi (UAE), the Frenchman will challenge Tom Aspinall , heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg) of the company, in the main fight. With another chance to win the linear belt of the category, the athlete guarantees that, this time, the script of his story will be different.
During his UFC career, Gane won the interim heavyweight title and twice challenged for the undisputed championship, but suffered two significant defeats. In 2022, the Frenchman was surprised by Francis Ngannou using wrestling, and in 2023, he was submitted by Jon Jones in the first round.
Now, the athlete has another chance to reach the top of the division. It's true that Gane is the underdog against Aspinall, but he assures that he won't waste this opportunity, as he has more experience and is better prepared for this important fight.
"I already know I'm a good fighter, but having the belt is something different. That's my goal. And new (new champion). I want this like never before. I don't want to have any regrets. I'll do everything I can to win this fight," said the Frenchman in an interview with the program 'Countdown,' available on the UFC's official YouTube channel.
