Towards a new opportunity to try to become linear heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg), Cyryl Gane demonstrates willingness to emerge victorious against Tom aspinall, whatever the cost. Seen by many as a fighter with weaknesses in grappling, the Frenchman openly declared that he invested in a high-level partner to prepare for the duel that takes place this Saturday (25) in Abu Dhabi, in UFC 321.
Living in France, Gane revealed that he called on Pouya Rahmani to intensify his wrestling training before facing Aspinall. According to the former interim champion, the high level of his routine boosts his confidence for his anticipated Octagon encounter with the Englishman.

"I spar with a lot of high-level sparring partners, but they're not as famous as the one I trained. Having this high-level sparring partner will help me be more confident. I'm ready for the fight," Gane said in an interview with the UFC.
Iranian but residing in Dubai, Rahmani is the Iranian national wrestling champion and a two-time world champion in no-gi jiu-jitsu. Besides Gane, the athlete also has records supporting Khamzat Shimaev in MMA training.
Considered an underdog by bookmakers, Gane is coming off a controversial victory over Alexander Volkov in his last appearance in the octagon. Inactive since December 2024, the 35-year-old Frenchman expresses confidence in one of the biggest challenges of his career. So far, only Francis Ngannou e Jon Jones were able to defeat him.
