UFC goes back and announces Jedrzejczyk against Canadian for November

The organization had guaranteed that Brazilian Cláudia Gadelha would compete for the title, but the Polish woman will face Létorneau in Australia

After defeating Jessica Aguilar at UFC 190 in Rio de Janeiro, Claudia Gadelha he had received from Ultimate the guarantee that he would fight for the strawweight belt next. However, that is not what will happen. The organization announced, this Friday afternoon (4), that the champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will face Valérie Létorneau in her next fight.

The fight will take place on November 14th, in the city of Melbourne, Australia. It will be the co-main fight of UFC 193, just before Ronda Rousey against Holly holm by the rooster belt.

The UFC revealed the change happened because Gadelha, with a hand injury, would not have enough time to recover and prepare for the Australian card.

PUBLICITY:

Jedrzejczyk defeated Gadelha in December 2014 and qualified to fight for the title. At UFC 185, in March, he knocked out Carla esparza to take the belt. Afterwards, he defended the belt against Jessica penne in Berlin, Germany.

Létorneau, 32 years old, has four consecutive victories in his career, the last against Maryna moroz, In August. His last defeat was in 2012, against Gadelha.
