Ronda Rousey returned to MMA training this year and, in addition, sparked speculation about a possible return to the Octagon. The former Strikeforce and UFC bantamweight champion (up to 61,2 kg), however, clarified that her return to physical activity is for recreational and conditioning purposes, and not an immediate intention to compete professionally.
In an interview with the podcast 'The Breakfast Club' on Thursday (16), Rousey commented on longevity in combat sports. She used the space to cite the example of the former boxer Mike Tyson, who returned to the ring at the age of 58.

"Mike Tyson returning and being the biggest fight of last year kind of proves that no one is ever completely finished (for fighting),” said the former champion, amid speculation about a return to the octagon.
At 38 years old, Rousey hasn't competed in MMA since 2016, when she was knocked out by Amanda nunes in the UFC. After her stint in the WWE, where she performed until 2023, the fighter gave birth to her second daughter this year.
Despite speculation about her presence at UFC Casa Branca, scheduled for July 2026, she says that returning to training helped her physical recovery after pregnancy.
