Alex Poatan is outraged by criticism from Brazilian reporters: 'They're trying to take advantage'

Alex Poatán returned to speak out against criticism from fans and journalists this week. In an interview with 'MMA Hoje,' the Brazilian, current UFC light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg), stated that he is often bothered by interpretations he considers unfair and said he prefers to fight for challenges, not fame or money.

Poatan commented that some Brazilian press and fans are trying to 'take advantage' by spreading distorted information about him.

"I argue a lot with reporters, especially Brazilian ones. Sometimes I see them trying to take advantage. They tell two versions: the one that happens, he remembers. The other, he forgets. It's like the guy who says, 'Poatan's ground is half-baked, but I like him and I'm rooting for him.' It's either one or the other," he said.
