Reinier DeRidder is going through a great phase in his career and has a decisive fight in the octagon. This Saturday (18), in Canada, the Dutchman measures forces with Brendan allen in the main fight of UFC Vancouver. For the duel, the athlete, undefeated in the company and dreaming of the chance to challenge Khamzat Shimaev, middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg), has been considered by bookmakers as the favorite.

In addition to the main fight, which is extremely important for the future of the category, the UFC Vancouver will also feature the 'Brazilian Squad'. In total, five professionals will represent the country at the event.

Reinier DeRidder is on fire. After making his mark at One Championship, the Dutchman quickly adapted to the octagon and impressed in his performances. In the UFC, 'The Dutch Knight' submitted Gerald meerschaert, in November 2024, Kevin holland, in January 2025, knocked out BoNickal, in May, and surpassed Robert whittaker by split decision in July.

With such a track record, the fighter has moved up a notch in his career. Now, the Dutchman is ranked fourth in the middleweight rankings, making him a serious contender for the title if he wins again. It's no surprise that De Ridder is the favorite in the fight against Allen, with odds of 1,50.

Yes, Brendan allen ended his two-fight losing streak in his last fight. In July, the American went through Marvin vettori via unanimous decision. The athlete now sits in ninth place in the division's standings. It's worth noting that 'All In' was not De Ridder's original opponent in the UFC Vancouver and sim anthony hernandez. With such a scenario, the fighter enters as an underdog with odds of 2,60.

Former bantamweight title challenger (up to 61,2 kg), Marlon Vera aims to rebuild in the UFC. However, his task is thankless. The Ecuadorian will go to Canada to face Aiemann Zahabi, a homegrown athlete. Despite his experience in the organization, Chito is in a bad run, with two straight losses and three in his last four fights. With such a track record, the veteran is an underdog with odds of 2,08.

Zahabi, who is fighting at home, is having nothing to do with this. He's looking to continue his good run. After surprising and winning José Aldo, the Canadian is more confident than ever.
