"I saw some comments saying: 'But the guy is very weak.' The guy is not weak, he (Gamrot) is top 10 in the UFC. This guy who is saying he is weak, are you top 10 at your job? He (Charles) made the fight look easy," said the black belt.
Durinho also praised Diego Lima, coach of Charles of the Bronx, who, according to him, usually takes the blame when things go wrong inside the octagon and, now that everything has gone well, deserves applause.
"Now, the talkers, talk about Diego's fighting IQ. My brother, the strategy was beautiful. Because when it's time to 'work out,' the crowd 'works out.' Now go and say good things about the guy too," he concluded. Gilbert Durinho.
With the defeat to Charles of the Bronx, Mateusz gamrot suffered his fourth career loss, the first by stoppage. The Polish fighter missed his chance to break into the top five of his division and is now experiencing a run of two losses in his last three fights.
Charles has now increased his UFC record for most submissions, most stoppages, and most bonuses to 17, 21, and 21, respectively. Now, the Brazilian has won two of his last two fights and has kept his dream of fighting for the belt alive.
