"It was kind of hard to find a replacement, so for a few days I thought there might not be a fight. I was a little disappointed about that... Paulo (Borrachinha) wanted a catchweight. He wanted it to be three rounds, not five. So we said, 'If you don't want it that way, it won't happen,'" he said. Ridder's Reinier.

The Dutchman assessed that Borrachinha missed a good opportunity to get back into the title conversation by refusing the fight.
