The first fighter born in another country, Kowalkiewicz was booed heavily upon her entrance into the arena. She now has 16 wins and ten losses.

Polastri entered the ring happy, singing, and excited for her fourth UFC fight. The Brazilian took the first steps, throwing low kicks at close range. With shouts of "Olê, olá, Julia," the Brazilian got excited and landed a strong kick to the waist, which made Karolina feel it and retreat. Polastri continued to march forward, but saw her opponent recover.
The fight was close, with both fighters delivering. In the closing stretch, Julia landed another good combination that made Kowalkiewicz suffer. The Polish fighter was saved by the bell. Polastri started the second round determined to settle the score.
Focused and aggressive, the Brazilian showed confidence and landed a devastating flying knee, which again made her opponent feel it and, once again, endure. When the pace dropped, Julia raised her hands for support, and the crowd responded. However, the momentum backfired, and the Polish fighter fell and attempted a guillotine, but nothing happened.
The third round continued intensely, with Julia going in for the kill and succeeding. After a relentless left high kick, the Brazilian kept marching forward, and one more devastating sequence was all it took to end the fight. A truly memorable performance from the Brazilian.
