The two athletes engaged in grappling within the first minute of the fight. Aware of his opponent's likely post-weigh-in rehydration issues, Lacerda successfully forced his opponent to push against the fence. Both landed solid takedowns in the opening moments, but as time went on, the Nova União fighter proved to be the better fighter, dominating the ground transitions and coming close to finishing with a rear-naked choke in the final seconds of the round.
Oliveira returned more aggressively in the second round, and both men exchanged powerful shots at long range, but he was eventually taken to the ground again. He managed to reverse the position after having his back controlled and punished his opponent with strong elbows from above. At this point, he was caught in a very precise armbar by the jiu-jitsu black belt and was forced to tap out at three minutes and 55 seconds into the round.
In the interview inside the octagon, Luan stated that he was experiencing a new phase in his career and promised to show continued evolution as a fighter in his upcoming commitments.

Still on the preliminary card, Lucas Rocha took no notice of Stewart Nicoll and won the fight by unanimous decision without much difficulty. With the result, Chute Boxe athlete Diego Lima reached his 18th victory as a professional and returned to the winning column after the setback against Clayton Carpenter in his previous performance. The Australian suffered his second consecutive failure and still doesn't know what it's like to win in the organization.
Very aggressive, Rocha cornered his opponent with strong punches and knees in the Muay Thai clinch. Visibly uncomfortable, Nicoll tried to take the fight to the ground on several occasions, carelessly falling short of taking the Brazilian down.
In the second round, the training partner of Charles of the Bronx He managed to hurt the Australian with a good punch to the waistline, in addition to successfully defending another takedown and finishing the round in an advantageous position in the grappling fight.
The Amazonian showed no signs of slowing down in the third round and even absorbed a powerful combination from his opponent, a rare moment of success for the Australian in stand-up punching. This dominance continued throughout the final round, clearly demonstrating Rocha's advantage throughout the fight. At the end of the fight, all three judges scored the fight 30-27 in favor of the Brazilian.
