The incident began with a simple misunderstanding. Jackson attended the event 'KnokX Pro Wrestling' and had a backstage interaction with wrestler Stuart Smith, known as Syko Stu. Long before the in-ring activities began, Smith believed Raja was part of the pro wrestling and falsely hit him with a beer can. After realizing the mistake, he apologized and the situation was apparently resolved. The entire situation was recorded and broadcast on the streaming platform 'Kick-start'.

In the attack, also livestreamed by the fighter himself, Jackson entered the ring and punched Smith more than 20 times in the face, leaving him unconscious and choking on his own blood. According to the event's planning, the original idea was for the two to participate in a staged fight, typical of pro wrestling.

During the broadcast itself, Jackson stated that he would seek revenge for the misunderstanding shortly before the performance began. Several event staff members were needed to restrain Jackson. Smith was hospitalized and transferred to the intensive care unit, where he was diagnosed with multiple injuries, including facial fractures and tooth loss.
