Mateusz Gamrot already got a preview of what's to come at UFC Rio, scheduled for next Saturday (11). The Pole will be in action in the main event and will face Charles do Bronx in the octagon set up at Farmasi Arena, in Rio de Janeiro. Although inside the cage there will only be him and the former champion, the Brazilian will be pushed on by thousands of fans. However, the visitor doesn't seem bothered by the pressure.

During the open training session held at BarraShopping in Rio's West Zone, Charles Oliveira was greeted with shouts of "The champion is back!". Mateusz Gamrot, on the other hand , was booed and forced to listen to the traditional chant of "Uh, you're going to die!" sung by the Brazilian crowd. The Pole, however, didn't seem affected and continued his training as normal.

Back in Brazil for the first time since 2020, when he fought without an audience due to the pandemic, Charles do Bronx seeks redemption after his loss to Ilia Topuria . A national idol, the São Paulo native wants to prove that he is still one of the most dangerous forces in the lightweight division.

Gamrot, a former two-division champion at KSW, accepted the challenge with just three weeks' notice. A wrestling specialist, the Polish fighter promises to test the Brazilian's ground game.
