Last Saturday (4), in Las Vegas (USA), Alex Poatán shocked the world once again. The Brazilian knocked out Magomed Ankalayev in just over a minute of fighting in the rematch and became the UFC light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) for the second time. After the fight, Dana White praised the renowned striker, but, despite the excitement, he urged caution regarding his size in MMA.

O cartola não cravou a presença do brasileiro no seleto grupo, porém ressaltou que o mesmo é um dos destaques do MMA na atualidade.
"When you start looking at some of the guys out there now, you start looking at Makhachev, Poatan, Merab. These guys are doing some really badass stuff right now," said the UFC president.

Poatan's main victories
In the UFC since 2021, Alex Poatán starred in a meteoric rise in MMA, shining in the octagon. The Brazilian was a middleweight and light heavyweight champion, defeating big names in the sport such as Israel adesanya, Jamahal hill, Jan Blachowicz, Jiri Prochazka (twice), Khalil rountree jr, Magomed Ankalayev e Sean Strickland.
