One of the great dilemmas of women's sports lies in the difficulty of associating careers and motherhood for athletes. But the former UFC belt challenger Alexis Davis he had no problems with his decision. On social media, Davis announced that she is pregnant and will only return to the octagon next year.

I planned to spend as much time as possible at home to help with my niece anyway, but we are so happy with this news and are looking forward to the arrival of our son in early 2016! And I plan to return to the octagon only at the end of the year”, wrote the fighter, who is married to Brazilian jiu-jitsu coach Flávio Meier, along with a photo of her ultrasound.
At 30, Alexis Davis has a professional MMA record of 17 wins and six losses. After being defeated by Ronda Rousey in July last year, the Canadian, who is ranked third in the women's bantamweight category, recovered with a submission victory over Sarah Kaufman in April this year.
