Charles do Bronx is moved by the affection of fans at an open training session at UFC Rio: 'I held back tears'

MMA legend, the former champion made a point of being present at the event to give back the support he received throughout his career.

Charles of the Bronx is fully enjoying the experience of leading UFC Rio, an event that takes place this Saturday (11). A big name in MMA, the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) felt the love of Brazilian fans when he appeared at the open training session, held last Wednesday (8), at BarraShopping, and expressed his gratitude.

Upon appearing before the crowd, Charles received an immediate standing ovation and was moved by the crowd's presence. Visibly happy with the fans' reaction, the greatest finisher in UFC history vowed to make history in the Octagon once again and guaranteed his victory. Mateusz gamrot.

And the veteran's happiness is genuine. It's worth noting that Do Bronx made a point of attending the event. The athlete believes that performing in front of his family, friends, and fans is a way of repaying all the support he's received throughout his career.

"Actually, I held back tears. I've dreamed about this for a long time, about being able to fulfill this gigantic dream. When I talk about legacy, look at this. It's from the youngest to the oldest. So, I'm so happy," said the MMA legend.

Charles of the Bronx has the opportunity to recover from the knockout he suffered to Ilia Topuria, in June, at home. At UFC Rio, the Brazilian, former lightweight champion and currently ranked fourth, will face Mateusz gamrot, number eight in the category's rankings.
